3-Hour Hoover Dam Tour

Our Three Hour Hoover Dam Mini Tour is great for any sized group visiting Sin City. The destinations are scenic, historic, and show a little more of what Nevada has to offer. Our drivers will pick you up from several select hotels on the Las Vegas Strip and welcome you aboard our air-conditioned fourteen-person vans. Your guide then drives through historic Boulder City, the original Nevadan town from which Las Vegas came. A vivid history and explanation of how Hoover Dam, Boulder City, and even Las Vegas came to will be told while you drive to your first stop, Hemenway Park! A gorgeous, post-card worthy view is made better by Big Horned Sheep grazing. These animals are Nevada’s state animals and in this park, they graze freely amongst humans! After some great photo opportunities and making sure no one smuggled a sheep back into the van, it’s a short drive to scenic Lake Mead Overlook. This National Park is 1200 ft up allowing you to see miles of Lake Mead. You will notice the distinct “bathtub-rings” on the rocks surrounding the Lake. Much like a tan line, these rocks were once covered with a higher water level but with the current drought has been exposed. Once finished soaking in the view, and maybe spying a ground squirrel or two, it is time for the main event. The Hoover Dam! Your guide will drive you to Pat Tillman Mike O Callaghan Bridge, completed in 2010 this allows you to take in the Hoover Dam from over 890 ft high. You used to only be able to get this view by helicopter! After crossing to about the midpoint of the bridge and taking in the bird’s eye view of the Dam it’s time to return to the van. This final view of the Hoover Dam allows you to see the reservoir holding back Lake Mead, the Pat Till Mike O Callaghan Bridge you were previously on, (you’ll be surprised just how high up you were!) and the spillways that have only been used once in 1984. One last chance for some impressive photos and it’s time to return to your hotel! Your guide will answer any remaining questions you have, including where to eat and what to see while you’re in town! You will be dropped off in time to enjoy your remaining activities of the day!
